Easter 2018 Date

Easter is celebrated on a different date every year. While this should make sense since it is always on a Sunday and the days in a year do not divide by seven evenly, it can be very confusing when the date is not approximately the same from one year to the next.

According to the Western calendar, Easter falls on the first Sunday following the full moon on or after the spring equinox on March 21. This means that Easter can occur as early as March 22 or as late as April 25. So Easter will never be in May for those who follow the Gregorian calendar.

Was Easter a Federal Holiday in 2018?

Easter was not a federal holiday in 2018 although many store locations are closed or have different hours of operation on Easter Sunday.
